In 1978, the SP was so short of power that it leased Amtrak P-30s to handle the commute fleet while the SDPs and Geeps went into freight service. The roundhouse whisker tracks hold several P-30s being set up for service. The outbound make up tracks at the top of the photo contain cars for the SFRVY, SFEUY, BSWJY.
